TOP 5 LOCATIONS IN VIETNAM FOR TRAVEL FILMMAKING

Updated: Dec 27, 2022

Vietnam is known as one of the world's leading tourist attraction destination, not only because it is a safe country, delicious food, friendly people but also a place with unique and majestic landscapes. A place for cinematographers to create ravishing footage.

We temporarily do not mention the two big and most known cities, Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh; today we will take you to new lands, off the beaten path, places that not many people know about.

1. Hoang Su Phi, Ha Giang

With the breathtaking beauty of the terraced fields, along with the Red Dao ethnic minority community, whenever you bring up the camera, you can find countless beautiful angles for filming, Especially in the ripe rice season which happens in September or October.

2. Moc Chau, Son La

About a 4-hour drive from the capital Hanoi, Moc Chau is a beautiful place for those who love flowers and the festive atmosphere of the mountains. The best time to go to Moc Chau is January and February, during the festival of the indigenous people, when the fields are decorated with beautiful plum blossoms.

3. Cao Bang

The majestic mountain scenery, Cao Bang, located 6-hour drive from Hanoi, certainly will not disappoint the videographers. However, be careful if you use a drone because this place is close to the border with China, so filming with a drone will require a prior authorization from the government.

4. Hoi An, Quang Nam

Hoi An is an ancient city in Central Vietnam, with houses that still retain the ancient look of the old days, this place will definitely give the cinematographer's frame an old sense of a region. Typical Asian Vibes.

5. Bai Tu Long Bay

Bai Tu Long Bay is located next to Ha Long Bay. Everyone knows Ha Long Bay, but Bai Tu Long Bay is not known by many people. This is a place with a similar landscape to Ha Long Bay, but much more pristine, with fewer tourists, so filming here will also be more convenient with not too many people obstructing your frame.

Overall, there are many other beautiful scenes for travel filming, such as Bac Ha, Pu Luong, Ninh Binh, and Pu Quoc, which we will cover in the next articles!
